Perchè "Pietra di Betel"

Tanti anni fa avevo un sito chiamato "la Pietra di Betel", su cui riversavo storie e considerazioni e malumori, oltre alle mie omelie. Ora pubblico le mie omelie in un gruppo su Whatsapp, ma mi rendo conto che devo ragionare più in grande, e così eccoci qui.

Perché "Pietra di Betel"? per effetto di un brano biblico che mi ha colpito: "Si alzò Giacobbe alla mattina, prese la pietra che si era posta come cuscino del suo capo e la rizzò come stele sacra e versò olio sulla sua sommità. E chiamò quel luogo Betel, mentre prima il nome della città era Luz" (Genesi 28, 18,19). Molta gente cerca Dio e non lo trova, oppure si accontenta di un piccolo acconto. Giacobbe invece trovò l'accesso all'alto dei cieli sotto il suo cuscino. Come dire, Dio ti è molto più vicino di quel che pensi.
